Welcome! The Ethereum Stamp Factory is a collection of 122 NFTs that correspond to real-life, hand-carved linocut stamps living on the blockchain.
Stamps will be used to make prints and merch for their holders, as access to future factories, and of course, whatever else owners wish to do with their physical and NFT stamp.
Website and stamps made by me - Jacob Pawlak, in my apartment/studio. You can read more about me on my website, but I am an artist, #nikecraft athlete, and swe/linguist by trade.
I have been making linocut stamps for over a year: I hand draw each stamp design before carving it out of a linoleum block. Each stamp and NFT will be unique not necessarily because of attributes, but because I cannot carve identical copies of any one stamp. Below is a sample 3 of 12 NASA Worm stamps I carved for my #NCWT friends to illustrate what I mean.
A Template Image - your NFT will be updated with the hand-carved version as soon as it is finished!
THE Stamp Image - this is your hand-carved stamp (a print) realized from the attributes that you see listed below.
Size attribute - it will matter a lot for merch!
Content attribute - what gets stamped on your merch (and NFT)!
Color attribute - this determines the ink color!
*To be qualified you must: own an ETH wallet, be following us on Twitter, and be a member of our Discord server.
**Announcement coming by EOY 2021
The smart contract can be found here: on Etherscan, please only mint from this contract.
I have purchased an ENS domain for the Eth Stamp Factory's wallet - thestampfactory.eth - this is the only wallet used to maintain the project.
50% - Kept in the wallet (and partially cashed out) to pay for the merch blanks and supplies, service fees, website maintenance, etc.
25% - Cashed out to my brother for artwork for our future project (remember, stamps are whitelist for the next project).
25% - Transfered to the dev for their solidity and web3 work.
The Eth Stamp Factory will be holding a presale for 30 stamps at a price of .04 Eth per stamp (not including minting fees). After 24 hours, the presale will close and the public sale will open for the remaining stamps at .06 Eth each.
The Factory will mint 3 stamps that will be airdropped to the winners of the 2 giveaways (to be a part of the giveaways you need to be a member of the Discord server, and following us on Twitter).
All shirt blanks will be purchased from Royal Apparel. Shirt Sizes will be collected on Discord and ordered appropriately - If you do not select a shirt, a Uni-sex Large will be used as default. Special surprises will be included with every stamp's bundle.
Opensea royalties will be set at 10% (NOT including the 2.5% from OS). Stamps are here for the long run.
I'm including some of my previous work from the past year or so to give you an idea of what your stamps will look like, what sizes (and detail) you can expect from these stamps, and even a little sneak peek on some merch.
In this group of photos you can see some carved stamps I have made for other projects and merch, a few "sticker-stamps" that I like to give away and slap around town, and a couple prints of an ode to the Tom Sachs Rocket Factory.
When I am finished carving all the stamps for the Eth Stamp Factory, I am going to make a few large pieces of art to auction off for charity. These will include a large collage of all the stamps, a fancy zine that I will be selling, staring all of your stamps (proceeds going to charity), and several others!
Now let's look at some of the stamps' applications, especially as they relate to this project which is designed around making custom merch and goodies.
I have designed and stamped several shirts (some previous styles are still for sale), so I am confident that I can make some badass shirts with your stamps. My favorite style is to use a clean, white, oversized shirt, and add a few blocks of color and then the main content image(s).
With a little help and a nudge from some friends, I have been trying my hand at zine making, so I'm including my first zine "12 Nasa Worm Stamps for My #nikecraftweartester Pen Pals". I actually made that zine into its own NFT collection and sent the digital copies to the physical copy owners. See where this is kinda going...
I want you to know that your stamp isn't useless without ink and paper - I love stamping random things around the house, like my geodesic cat dome (an "i.s.r.u" project), light switches, anything that looks fun to brand. I've also had success using stamps on clay (without ink), bananas (a fun grocery prank), and even as temporary tattoos.
